Knock-offs of New Castle’s blue garbage bags have surfaced, and Mayor Anthony Mastrangelo last night advised residents not to be fooled.At city council’s workshop meeting, Mastrangelo said that the counterfeit bags are being sold for $10 for 10 bags, and reportedly do not have “City of New Castle” printed them.The city sells its bags, the mayor said, to help underwrite the cost of its garbage/recycling program. But there’s even a more pressing reasons for residents to shun the fakes.For now, the mayor said, public works will give residents who set out the fake bags forpick-up a pass, and will take them.But that ends next week — beginning Monday, anyone
